**Here are some things that I learned by doing this project; If you have a lump of Mod Podge left on the board it will dry that way so be sure the smooth it all out. It would have been better to just adhere the burlap to the front of the board and paint the sides. (I may end up removing it from the back and painting the sides after all. I'm going to look at it awhile longer and then decide.) For the two boards I only needed 1/2 a yard of burlap. Hobby Lobby sells several different colors of burlap. We chose a sage green burlap. I could have purchased 1/8 of a yard of the different fabrics for the leaves. I have a lot of it left over (which isn't actually a bad thing.) I found that if I cut several strips of fabric out first and then cut the leaves from those strips then my leaves stayed more uniform in size. The strips ranged from 1 1/2 in. wide to 2 in. wide.**
